Judy,
I was saddened to hear your mother had passed away! Your mother is wonderful person! I remember how she used to watch all the neighborhood kids play in their front yards, making sure we were all safe and having fun! I also enjoyed the times we met at the mailbox and shared a hello and maybe some current news!
Your dad too was wonderful! I am thankful they both were a part of my life! They gave me many good memories of what a good neighbor is, and they didn't even have a state farm!
The last time I talked to your mother, she mentioned her Italian heritage. I recently read a book called "It happen in Italy", by Elizbeth Bettina. The book tells how the Catholic Italians in Campania begin taking in the Jews and hidding them from the Nazies! The love they showed reminded me of your parenta, especially of your mother. I hoped to tell her about it and did not get the oppurtunity. I hope you might get a chance to read it!
God Bless you in dealing with your grief,
Debra Duncan

Judy, I am so sorry to hear about your lovely mother. My Mom (Virginia {Ledbetter} Chaney) and I visited with her back in late fall of 2010. My Mom and her used to double date when they were young ladies and they worked together at Cooper Martin back in the day. My Mom would love to visit with you sometime and tell you some stories of years gone by.
