William Wright Obituary

William G. Wright, Jr.

Nashville, TN

Nashville-William Guilford Wright, Jr., 87, died Sunday April 30, 2017 at Alive Hospice following an extended illness. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Betty (Thomason) Wright, his daughter Sharon W. Herndon, his son Bill Wright and his wife Connie Wright, his two grandchildren Deanne Ray and Alyson Wright and two great grandchildren Hailey and Madelynn Ray. After serving in the military Mr. Wright pursued a career in music and became a two-time Grammy award winner with the Anita Kerr Singers. Donations may be made in his memory to Nashville Musicians Association Local 257. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday May 4, 2017 at Eastwood Christian Church.
