There are just a few unforgettable teachers in my life and he´s on that list. He always smiled and was a bright star in my high school. You could tell by his attitude that he was a follower of Christ. My mom remembered him from high school and often asked how he was doing. She died in 2016. Everyone should have a Coach Boyd in their life!

Coach Boyd, RIP. He was my football coach in Jr. High, and an associate coach to Richard Hewitt @ Isaac Litton High School, Nashville, Tn, while I was in the 10th and 11th grades, I did not play my Senior year was in DECA. He was a born leader and was well respected.

Coach Boyd was my favorite teacher from Madison High School. He made a positive impact on so many lives throughout the community. He had the most kind and gentle soul. He made learning fun. If all teachers were like him, no one would ever dislike school.

James was my first cousin on my Daddy's side of the family. My dad and his dad were very close. I have fond memories of visits in his home as a child and fishing/camping trips with his family. I remember going to see James play soft ball at Shelby Park when he was a young man. James called my Daddy "Unk". He took my Dad to football games and deer hunting as long as Dad was able to go. After Mom died he even took Dad to Hawaii with his family. I love you James for so many reasons.

Coach Boyd was one of my favorite teachers at HLHS. I was also blessed to call him neighbor for a peiord of time. He will be missed by many.

Loved this teacher/coach. He was my junior high basketball coach, study hall teacher, assistant football coach at Goodlettsville when my son played football there and then at Hunter's Lane during my son's senior year there. He was the best! RIP Coach.

Loved him. He was always on his toes and we all enjoyed working with him. My most memorable moment with him was when we were in the hall at the front door and some kid smarted off to him. The boy started running down the hall and James said don't go after him as he had not had his shoes tied and he had already lost one. He ran out into the snow and came in by James Briggs office up by the cafeteria telling him that someone had stolen his shoes. May we all enjoy our great memories of James Boyd and he RIP with the Lord. Dr. Barbara Y. Wills

Mr. Boyd was the best,he enjoyed going with the
seniors to eat and he made the best Pineapple
Upside Down Cake, for our meals at church. We
will miss him and always have a special place in
our hearts for him. May he rest in Gods arms until we all meet again.
