Joe LITTRELL Obituary

LITTRELL, JoeAge 85 of Lawrenceburg, died May 15, 2010. He was a native of Lawrence County, retired from Chuck Brewer Chevrolet and Allstate Insurance, and a member of Mars Hill United Methodist Church. He served his country honorably during World War II in the U.S. Navy. His parents were the late Emmitt and Emma Marston Littrell. He is survived by his wife, Irene Thompson Littrell of Lawrenceburg; one daughter, Jennifer Leighton and husband Tim of Lawrenceburg; one son, Jeffrey Littrell and wife Marie of Murfreesboro; one step-son, Tony Bishop and wife Betsy of Lawrenceburg; one sister, Valeria Hansford of Charleston, SC; 12 grandchildren, Michael Bishop of Spring Hill, Lindsay Littrell Lecklider and husband Chase of Nashville, David Bishop of Murfreesboro, Kristin Joseph and husband Aneal of Franklin, Natalie Boyd and husband Justin of Murfreesboro, Lesley Littrell Starnes and husband Chris of Memphis, Timmy Leighton of Lawrenceburg, Jordan Littrell and wife Meagan of Murfreesboro, Thomas Collie of Murfreesboro, Ashley Leighton of Lawrenceburg, Jared Littrell of Waverly (presently serving in the U.S. Army in Iraq), Matthew Leighton of Lawrenceburg; 7 great-grandchildren, Eric Bishop of Spring Hill, Kaylee Bishop of Spring Hill, Bailey Boyd of Murfreesboro, Taylor Boyd of Murfreesboro, Isaiah Starnes of Memphis, Jude Littrell of Murfreesboro, Baby Lecklider (due in July) of Nashville, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted at Mars Hill United Methodist Church, at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2010 with Bro. Billy Beal officiating. Mr. Littrell will lie-in-state at the church from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Interment will be held at Mars Hill Cemetery in Lawrence County.
