Aaron Wyckoff Obituary
Nashville, TN
Aaron Wyckoff, age 71, passed away December 24, 2013 from cardiac arrest that developed while he was fighting Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He is preceded in death by his parents, William E. Wyckoff and Sarah McAllister Wyckoff.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Diane Footitt Wyckoff; sons, David and Mark; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Larson, and grandsons, William and Andrew.
He was born in Louisville, KY on December 24, 1942. In 1961, he moved to Nashville and attended Vanderbilt University, graduating with a B.A. in 1965 and a J.D. in 1968 from Vanderbilt University School of Law. Other than a brief stay in Virginia Beach, he practiced law in Nashville until his retirement in 2010. He was an Assistant District Attorney, an Assistant U.S. Attorney, and spent many years in private practice.
He served on the Board of Directors of the Green Hills YMCA, Boys and Girls Club of Nashville, and the Nashville Bar Association.
He enjoyed coaching his sons and other children in soccer and baseball for many years, and he was an avid Vanderbilt Baseball fan.
His memorial service will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 3900 West End Avenue, at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, January 3rd, preceded by visitation with the family at 10 a.m.
Donations may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church, Nashville Rescue Mission, and the Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands.

Aaron was someone whom I have known since college. Our paths crossed a several times over the years. It was always pleasant and nice to see him and catch up for a bit. He loved his family, wife, children and grandchildren. My sincere condolences to all of you.

So glad that our paths crossed. Aaron's actions in the court room rekindled my belief in the justice system. He was a calculated thinker and a compassionate attorney. He will be missed. Sincerest condolences to the family.

Aaron was a great attorney and a great man. I was a client of his and literally saved my life. I can honestly say that I would never have met my beautiful wife, had the opportunities that i have had to change my life, and be where i am at today, if it were not for him. He will be missed but never forgotten.

I always so enjoyed talking sports with Aaron whenever I saw him. He was so proud of his children and grandchildren. He will be sorely missed by so many. I will be praying for you and all of his family.
