Trudy Gauss Obituary
Trudy was born on April 20, 1950 in Bath to Rodney and Grace (Peck) Stone. Trudy graduated from Campbell Central School in 1968. She worked at the Campbell Savona School District for more than 30 years and in the later years, served as the transportation supervisor. She loved being outdoors, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling with her sisters, and was a member of the Grand Island Baptist Church in Florida.
She is survived by her husband Bill; daughters, Tammy Gauss of Campbell and Carrie (James) Strauss of Savona; sisters, Jerry (Douglas) Horton, Vicky (Khiem) Nguyen; brother, Leon (Hope) Stone; grandchildren, Emily, Megan, JJ, and Allegan; sisters-in-law, Melanie Stone, Jackie Stone, and Carolyn Kennedy; brother-in-law, Chuck (Judy) Gauss; many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Trudy was preceded in death by her brothers, Gary and Dan.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, May 22nd from 2-4 and 6-8 at Haughey Funeral Home, Inc. 216 East First Street in Corning. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 23rd at 11:00 AM at Curtis Baptist Bible Church, 4297 Tannery Road in Campbell with Rev. Dale Ingraham officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery in Campbell.
Memorial donations may be made in Trudy's name to Curtis Baptist Church or Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778.
Trudy's family entrusted her care to Haughey Funeral Home, Inc.
