Sandra Whitson Obituary
Sandra was born to Carl Anthony Kleuskens and Helen Rose Hoffman Kleuskens on July 20, 1958 in Canyon, Texas. She graduated from Hereford High School in 1976. She attended West Texas State University and Texas Tech where she majored in Business. She was a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority. She married Phillip Whitson on May 26, 1979 at St. Mary's Church in Umbarger, Texas. She worked for Amarillo Independent School District and the Diocese of Amarillo. She loved to do anything related to crafts and was an avid and professional seamstress. She was a former resident of Lafayette, Louisiana of 17 years. She was a member of St Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her father, Carl Anthony Kleuskens.
Survivors include her husband, Phillip; daughter, Brittany Shuffield and husband Andrew of Amarillo; son, Brandon Whitson and wife, Darcey of Amarillo; mother, Helen Rose Hoffman Kleuskens of Amarillo and grandchildren, Madison, Tommy, Ryahn, Taylyn and Braylee all of Amarillo; two sisters, Linda Brown and husband, Tommy of Amarillo, and Beverly Adcock and husband Mike of Amarillo; and brother, Dale Kleuskens and wife Tonya of Canyon, Texas.

Hello Phil: This is Mike Pefferkorn. Don't know if you remember me or not, but Sandy and I worked together for a number of years at First National Bank of Opelousas. She is the one who trained be to take her position in charge of the new accounts department. Cynthia Lormand called me this morning and told me of your loss. I was very sorry to hear about it. Cynthia had been keeping me up on Sandy over the years and I never knew it got to be that serious. Take care, when you are in Opelousas, look me up and again sorry to hear about Sandy.
