Bobbie Tinker Obituary

Bobbie Lane LeBlanc Tinker, a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend died in an automobile accident Sunday, November 28, 2010, at the age of 65.

Bobbie always held God at the center of her life. Everyone she met was touched by her unfaltering faith and sincere joy. We were blessed with the grace of her loving, generous spirit. We hope to continue to live out the values she modeled for us.

To know Bobbie was to know one of Christ's angels on earth. There was not a soul left un-embraced by her kindness. Throughout her life, Bobbie ministered in many ways and in many places, including the Christian Community of God's Delight in Dallas, Texas. Her passion for service defined her daily life. She lived out this passion within her local community through Hospice Care, Eucharistic Ministry to the Sick, Prayer Group, Bible Study, Marriage Preparation, and Marriage Enrichment. Most recently, Bobbie worshipped with the community of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in Erath.

Bobbie Lane was born in Abbeville, Louisiana to Robert and Helen LeBlanc on November 25, 1945. She married Joseph Barton Tinker on August 12, 1964, enjoying 46 years of marital love together. They have four children and nine grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Joseph Tinker; daughter Adrienne Wright and husband Tim of Dallas and their children Maria, Timothy, Erin and Benjamin; son Robert Tinker and wife Kumiko of Dallas and their children Raemi and Taro; daughter Kathryn Vega and husband Adrian of Tyler and their children Avery and Della Lane; son Jonathan Tinker and wife Christina of San Antonio and their son Alexander. She is also survived by her father Robert LeBlanc of Abbeville; sister Denise Ziegler and husband John of Oklahoma City, sister Donna Thibodeaux and her children Courtney Thibodeaux and fiancée Ron Dore; Brooks Thibodeaux and his daughters Kennedi and Cohyn; and Brittlyn Thibodeaux, all of Erath.

She was also survived by her aunts and uncles Ruby Billiau, Eula LaPlace, Laura LaPlace, Ophelia ‘Fee' & Pervis ‘Pee Wee' Meaux; Gertrude LeBlanc, Shirley & O.P. Ditch; and her brothers and sisters in law and their families: Kay & Charlie Chapin, Tony & Kathleen Tinker, Stephen & Bella Tinker, Theresa & Robert Schutz, and Michael & Karen Tinker.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen LeBlanc and her Uncles George ‘Buster' LaPlace, Paul ‘Boo' LaPlace, Joseph ‘Nat' Miguez, and Edward ‘June' LeBlanc.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home in Abbeville at 2600 Charity Street on Wednesday, December 1, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM.

Visitation will resume Thursday, December 2 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in Erath, on Thursday, December 2 at 1 PM with Fr. Wayne Duet officiating. Interment will immediately follow at the LeBlanc Cemetery of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church at 3507 Bares Road off Highway 339. We will then return to the church Parish Center for a celebration of Bobbie's life.

From: Bishop Jarvis J. Harmon ,Sr.

God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away .In his favor is life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Don't stand by my grave and weep, for I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I'm the diamond's glint on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn's rain. Don't stand by my grave and cry. I am not there. I did not die.
