Beatrice Schexnayder Obituary

Schexnayder, Beatrice Louque "Bat" A resident and native of Grand Point, she died Thursday, July 13, 2006, at St. James Parish Hospital in Lutcher. She was 91. Survived by her beloved husband of 74 years, Yolande Schexnayder of Grand Point; mother and mother-in-law of James and Florence Schexnayder, Nelson "Pie" and Rose Schexnayder and Carroll "Carrot" Schexnayder, all of Grand Point, Mary Jane and Lawrence Becnel of Vacherie, Esta Oubre of Grand Point, Dolores and Skinny Catoire of Reserve, sister of Elda, St. Pierre and Honorine Cotham and Prentice Louque. Preceded in death by her parents, Arnard and Louise LeBlanc Louque; grandchild, Darren Schexnayder; great-grandchild, Colby Boudreaux; sisters and brothers, Hermina St. Pierre and Isabel Bourgeois and Perry, Hennis, Noe, Kearney and Lester Louque. Also survived by 24 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Friends and relatives of the family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, July 17, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2130 Rectory Road, Paulina. Visitation at the church on Monday, July 17, from 8 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Entombment in the church mausoleum. Alexander Funeral Home, Lutcher, is in charge of arrangements.
