I just received this very sad news yesterday while visiting the Alyeska Pipeline Valdez Marine Terminal. My heart is heavy and my thoughts have been filled with wonderful memories of working with Ron. We met about 20 years ago while I was doing training at the pump stations and he left a lasting positive impression on me. His knowledge of fire and gas detection systems was super impressive and we became friends instantly. We spoke many times on the phone and I always looked forward to our visits and lunches during our business meetings. He would always start by showing me his most recent pictures saved to his computer. He had 100's of his home in LA and AK, I loved seeing them all. He was a kind and gentle man who I will remember and miss for years to come.

I worked with Ron on the trans Alaska Pipeline. My experience was that he was very knowledgeable and professional. Mostly, I recall that he was kind, and always willing to help. He will be missed.

I worked many times with Ron on the Trans-Alaska Pipeline in the Fire and Gas systems realm. He was a wonderful guy and full of knowledge and a big part of how we kept our systems going. He is greatly missed. I am glad I knew him. My prayers and condolences to family and friends.

Growing up, my family was very close to Ronnie and his sweet parents. I can remember going camping with them. What sweet memories I have of them all and the laughter we shared every time we got together. Ronnie will be missed greatly.

Ronnie was my best friend at Brookstown Elementary School in Baton Rouge. The first day of school he rescued me when I got lost during recess. He was that kind of guy. Our families were close and I will always cherish the sweet memories of our childhood days. Rest In Peace dear friend. Michael McKnight
