To the whole family -
RJ was such a pleasure to be around - he loved to joke and told the most wonderful stories. He was such a comfort to my dad, Buddy Blanchard, when he was dying, I hope now that daddy can be a comfort to him. My family & I will miss him.

Aunt Chim and Family,
I am so sorry to hear about RJ. I remember the first time I met him and his visits to Colorado to visit John and I. I will remember him and the happy times we shared during his visits. I am grateful I got to see him on my last visit to Pierre Part. I am thinking of all of you and how important your family is to me.

Gaudet Family,
We share our most deepest sympathies with you on the loss of Mr. RJ. I will always remember that he gave me my first job I ever had as a teenager. Not long ago I expressed to Ethel that RJ was one of my favorite people. May RJ enjoy eternal rest and peace in the kingdom of our Risen Lord. He worked so hard to receive and deserves it.

My deepest sympathy to all of the Gaudet Family, dear friends and co-workers. I wish we did not need to experience pain and sorrow. R.J. would not want anyone to worry nor grieve for him. He loved all of you more than life. R.J. believed that the essence of all things must be sought with a loving heart. Not only did he have a loving heart, he was a very gifted and special person to be enjoyed, cherished and never forgotten. Unfortunately for us, this very special person has faithfully completed his journey here in the name of love and has received his return tickets home. He will be sadly missed by all.

I HAD TO GO AWAY

I had to go away.
I'm sorry you couldn't come with me.
But on earth is where you shall stay.
Please do not be sad.
Instead laugh and be glad.
I'm in a beautiful place, such a beautiful place.
I know you wont see me for a while.
But you will hear from me.
I will be the wind that will chill you on a hot summer day.
I will be the sun that will warm you when it's cold.
Listen to the birds sing, I will be saying "I love you" in their song.
I know you can't touch me.
But you will feel me.
Because I will be inside of you giving you life on the days you feel like you can't go on anymore.
Please I beg of you, go on, live your life as I lived mine.
Always remember we will be together again.
I will be patiently waiting for you on that day.
When you will join me in this beautiful place.
Until then may God bless you with his almighty grace.

Well...I am shocked...and please know that RJ will be sorely missed. He was one of my mom's favorites...well, you all were. He was the only one she didn't get to say goodbye to...and that bothered him. So, now, I guess they're up with Vivian, his dad, my mom et al having a crawfish boil. Hopefully enjoying a good beer. I hope I can make it in...Gosh, I hate losing one of the good guys. Love to you all! Ellen (Ellie Lalla's daughter--Vivian Daigle Lalla's granddaughter)

Warm summer sun,
Shine kindly here,
Warm southern wind,
Blow softly here.
Green sod above,
Lie light, lie light.
Good night, dear heart,
Good night, good night.
