Elizabeth Nelson Obituary

A homemaker and a loyal and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, she died at 12:10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, at Our Lady Of The Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 93, a native of Belle Rose and a resident of the Peterville community. Visiting at Williams & Southall Funeral Home, Napoleonville, on Friday, Feb. 18, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Visiting continues at St. Charles Baptist Church, 209 La. 403, Paincourtville, on Saturday, Feb. 19, from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. John Cooks. Burial in the church cemetery. Survived by three sons and their spouses, Eddie Jr. and Mary Nelson, of St. James, Louis Sr. and Rita Nelson, of Belle Rose and Emile and Monica Nelson, of Austin, Texas; seven daughters and their spouses, Emilie Nelson, Rosalie and William Alexander, all of Los Angeles, Lucille and Percy Lawless, of Schriever, Louella and Michael Harrison, of Richmond, Va., Ethelee Nelson, of Baton Rouge, Loretta and Gerald Larvadain and Natalie Nelson, all of Belle Rose; a daughter-in-law, Theresa Nelson, of Houston; 50 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 47 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie "Stack" Nelson Sr.; parents, Louise Fredrick and Peter Sims; a son, Edwin J. Nelson; a daughter, Louise Lotten; a brother, the Rev. Eddie Sims; a sister, Annie Sims Brown; daughter-in-law, Mary Janice Nelson; granddaughter, Cynthia Lotten; two grandsons, Curtis and Lloyd Lotten Jr.; and a son-in-law, Lloyd Lotten Sr. Arrangements by Williams & Southall Funeral Home, Napoleonville, (985) 369-7231..
