Lydia Alice Grindstaff Beeson

Lydia Beeson Obituary

A homemaker and resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 9 a.m. Sunday, June 27, 2010, at Sherwood Manor Nursing Home. She was 95, a native of Bath Springs, Tenn., and former longtime resident of Steele, Mo. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East chapel, 11000 Florida Blvd., Wednesday, June 30, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday, July 1, from 8 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Dr. Richard Wallace. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Bobbie Beeson, Poway, Calif.; son-in-law, Jerry Hunt, Baton Rouge; grandchildren, Patricia Hunt Quinn, Justin Beeson and Renee Beeson; great-grandchildren, Randall Corey Quinn, Brandon Trolman, Sharon Beeson, Bocephus Beeson and Dakota Beeson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Ersel B. Beeson; daughter, Gladys Stella Beeson Hunt; and son, Kenneth Beeson. Lydia was a graduate of Steele High School and a member of Stevendale Baptist Church, Baton Rouge.
