Liz and family,
You are in our prayers each day, and we are continuing to pray for you at school, too. We are praying that the Lord will heal your broken hearts, thereby helping you to embrace each new day with peace and joy that only can come from the Lord.

Dad, I want you to know what a great wealth of knowledge you have been in my life. You were my go-to man, my first call. Always ready with calm words and observant advice. I am so very thankful for the years that you were here. You have set me on the right path and I am very grateful for that. You are missed very much and we will see you again.

Dad,
You have taught me so many things in the very short amount of time we have had. I will keep your memory alive in my heart and alive in all I do. I miss you more and more everyday. You are the best dad a child could ever ask for. I'll always wonder why I didn't have much time with you, but I'll always know how blessed I was to have the time that I did with you. I know you are in a better place, but that doesn't stop my selfish heart from wanting you here with us...

Our families have been joined together by Chene and Rebekah's love for each other. Ralph and I love each and every one of you very much. Dee is part of our family and will forever be in our hearts just as each one of you are. Every time I hear a corney joke, I think of Dee because NO ONE could tell one like him! One day we'll all be laughing together again. I believe that from the bottom of my heart Jesus is laughing with Dee right now! And He is keeping him safe for us till we get there. I know you don't feel like laughing now but you will. We have Jesus' promises to live by and we know that we are being held up by His power and grace and mercy. Just lean on Him, that's what He wants! Love, Love, Love, Janice & Ralph

Liz,
You and Dee have always been an inspiration to me. The love you would show each other was rare and still gives hope to those who were blessed to witness it. Thank you for being that example to me, all of your children, and to the ones to whom you are not even aware. I pray God will continue to pour out His special Grace to you and the family, and keep His loving arms around you through these most difficult times.
I love you all!

Elizabeth, 37 years ago Cindy and I got married and you and Dee served in our wedding. I had just got out of service and Cindy was soon to get out. I had only been working with Dee at United Services a short time. Dee and I hit it off so well as instant friends and I asked him if you and he would witness our marriage. Soon afterwards we moved away and unfortunately lost touch. My brother Bill called just today and told me about Dee's passing...what a strange and powerful impact I feel inside....even after all of these years. I'm so sorry for your loss of Dee. Eleven children...wow...definitely a full quiver ! It sounds as if you and he have had a very full and fun life together and so I have no doubt of bountiful great memories together. Having been born again ourselves, it is wonderful to know without a doubt that Dee;s fantastic spirit lives on. I for one really look forward to one day being able to renew our friendship and to get to know him again. For now, Cindy and I send you our heartfelt condolences for the present loss and this valley. Please know you and your family are in our prayers, Jules and Cindy Bodin

Dear Liz,
I learned of Dee's passing from my twin brother, Steve and we want to express our deepest sympathies to you and your beloved family. Dee touched the hearts of many people although it has been years since we were blessed to see him, we loved his smiling face and huge heart. Both Steve and I are lifting you and your family up to The Lamb of God and know that only He, through the power of the Holy Spirit can comfort during this time of deep sadness and grief. May you feel His arms carrying and covering you through this time . "You are loved.." Deepest sympathies, Sandie Baker Jordan and Steve D. Baker

Liz and Family,
We were shocked to hear about Dee today (January 9, 2012)at school when one of our students asked for prayer for the Sublett family. I, Vivian, had a hard time going on at that point. We are so sorry for your loss. We are sorry we didn't know until now, or we would have been at the viewing and funeral to lend some support. You will be in our personal prayers and corporate prayers at school and our church.

Elizabeth and beautiful family: I didn't make it thru the wonderfully long line to speak with you personally, but I did get to speak w/Micah when he was close to Terri Howell and me. Broadmoor Methodist prayer line has been fervently keeping you in all of our prayers as you have had the hardest struggle one can EVER imagine. Although I didn't get to keep crossing paths with you and your BEAUTIFUL family each summer after my kiddos (Tyler & Brett) quit playing ball years ago, I always would get a warm feeling and a smile on my face whenever Dee's name might have come up in conversation. YOU and DEE knew early in life what TRUE happiness consists of and what a wonderful testiment to God's love and grace even in these horrific circumstances. God truly has a plan and I pray that His loving arms allow you to find the true peace in all of this. I know you know this already, but please know we will keep you and your family in our prayers! All of your beautiful children are so supportive of each other and it warms our hearts tht THIS is what Dee wanted to make sure was the priority they know. Any and all other "challenges" will be met with the same strength. God Bless you ALL. Diane (McPherson) Foster - BHS Class '72

Hey Elizabeth and your very beautiful family. I was at the Memorial Service at Healing Place yesterday for Dee. It will forever be with me. I have known you, Elizabeth since 3rd grade. I think that I met Dee in high school at BHS. I want to let you always know that your Mom and Dad are very special people. To see the 11 of you and your Mom stand up on the stage yesterday and talk about Dee was absolutely breathtaking! I know, because your Mom and Dad raised you this way, that God has Dee in heaven with him, and that God has each of you in the palm of His hand. Love, Cindi Hastings Wright

What a legacy through your children! I saw several of them during the nineties at Riveroaks...sweet, polite, positive, friendly. You and Liz stayed the course and they are a testament and legacy to their Christian upbringing. Well done, thou good and faithful servant. Enter now into His Kingdom.

Even though I hadn't seen Dee in about 4 years, I thought of him often. He was such an inspiration to me, always smiling, laughing and enjoying life. I knew him through his friend Vic, but I considered him a good friend of mine. His death is a loss to so many, especially his family. My prayers are with you always. May God grant you peace in this very difficult time.

Liz,
My heartfelt sorrow goes out to you and your children over the tragic loss of Dee. He was a true brother in the LORD. I never saw him without a smile on his face and a kind word coming from his heart. He now stands before the KING of Kings hearing those words, "Well done thou good and faithful servant".
