To the Sollie family--I use to officiate basketball games with Greg many years ago. We always had fun working together. Greg and I are about the same height and we never seemed to have any problems when officiating together. As one coach said "here comes the two big guys"

To the Sollie family, my heart goes out to each of you!! I had the pleasure of know Mr. Sollie during his time at Brusly High School, even before I had him as a teacher, I gave him the nickname "Dauber" from the show Coach because his looks and the sound of his voice reminded me of that character. He was a very special teacher that touched so many!! I pray that God wraps His arms around each of you and brings you peace during this difficult time.

Ms. Patti,
When my mother told me that Mr. Greg passed away, I had no words. He was such a wonderful man and we consider both of you to be a part of the Mason's Grill family. I loved talking to him about teaching and coaching. He was such a happy person to be around--Sunday's are so busy, but he always made me smile.

Please know that everyone at Mason's is here for you. Please let us know if you need anything at all.

With love,
Kristin Alfandre, the Alfandre Family, and the entire Mason's Grill crew

In first period physics in high school, Mr. Sollie introduced us to the five kinematics equations and told us that they would be our "five friends - for some of you, your only five friends." As was so common in that class, the room dissolved into laughter.
We didn't know it at first, but Mr. Sollie himself was the sixth friend we met in physics. His style was unique, his jokes hilarious. His unexpected passing was felt by all - everyone will miss you, our good friend.
