SHARON BARBER LARROWE
HILLSVILLE - Sharon Barber Larrowe went to be with our Lord on June 17th after a heroic battle against cancer. Sharon was a dedicated, wife, mother, daughter, sister, nana and friend who used her wisdom, faith and inner strength to comfort and guide others, not from a lofty position but meeting others where they were, always making them know how special they were. Her genuine love and concern for others will be greatly missed. Sharon used her unique abilities and wisdom for the betterment of her community, church and the lives of those with whom she made contact. Her impact is lasting and her infectious laugh drew others near.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Harlos Larrowe of the home; daughter, Kristen L. Quesenberry and husband, Justin of Hillsville, VA; son, Scott Larrowe and wife, Eugenia of Galax, VA; grandchildren, Josie and Grady Quesenberry of Hillsville, VA; parents, Ray and Maureen Barber of Beaufort, NC; brother, Ray Barber and wife, Tracy of Archdale, NC; brother, Leo Barber and wife, Mary of Pfafftown, NC; sister, Theresa Manning and husband, Donnie of Hiram, Georgia along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held at the First Baptist Church, Galax, Virginia at 11a.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2014 with Pastor Sam Bartlett officiating.
