Lillian Perez, 51, of Bridgeton passed away Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011, at home.
Lillian was born in Bronx, N.Y., to Wilfredo and Luz (Cortes) Perez. She was a resident of Vineland since 1960, before recently moving to Bridgeton. Lillian was a graduate of Vineland High School, Class of 1978, and later earned an associate degree as a medical technician from Goldey-Beacom College. She was employed by South Jersey Healthcare Bridgeton Health Center as a medical transcriptionist for more than 20 years.Lillian was an avid reader of mystery novels.She had an infectious laugh and enjoyed seeing the funnier things in life.
Lillian is survived by her parents, Wilfredo and Luz of Vineland; her brother, Wilfredo Perez Jr. (Margaret) of Roseland; and her nieces, Olivia and Alexandra Perez. Also by her devoted companion, Les Knight of Bridgeton; two uncles, Armando Perez of Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, and Laureano Cortes of Springfield, Fla.; her aunt, Dalila Custodio of Vineland; and several cousins.
Funeral services will be private at Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home in Vineland.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lillian may be made to the American Lung Association, 1031 Route 22 West, Suite 203, Bridgewater, NJ 08807; or the Cumberland County SPCA, 1244 N. Delsea Drive, Vineland, NJ 08360.

To the family of Lillian Perez,
I just found out about Lillith(I called her that)death through a friend.I worked with Lil at Bridgeton Hospital in the Medical Records Dept.She and I had some good talks and laughs.We had lunch together also.She loved her little dog and family.I retired many years ago and lost track of her.She will be missed by those that worked with her and loved her.
