Howard VanOrder Obituary

Howard W. Van Order, 90, of Wyalusing, passed away May 30, 2012 at the Bradford County Manor, West Burlington. He was born on Feb. 17, 1922 a son of the late William and Pearl Van Order in Brant. He served his country in World War II and married Kathryn Wigam on March 28, 1942 in Waldon, N.Y.

Howard retired from IBM, Endicott in 1980 after 37 years. Howard enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed hunting and woodworking.

Howard was predeceased by his parents: William and Pearl Van Order. Sisters: Marion Smith and Eloise Carroll.

Howard is survived by his wife, Kathryn; a son, Craig (Nancy) Van Order of Wyalusing; a daughter, Virginia Boylan of Charlottsville Va.; grandsons Kelly Boylan and Ed Van Order; three great grandsons; and many, nieces, nephews, and special friends.

At Howard's request, all services will be private. However, those who wish may kindly consider a memorial donation to the Herrickville Volunteer Fire Department, 6149 Herrickville Rd., Wyalusing, PA 18853, in loving memory of Howard W. Van Order.
