Dear Stephan and Andrew - I remember talking on the phone to your Dad and visiting him several times in the early days of Inland Marine (with Bob Slaff). He was part of that "greatest generation" that accomplished incredible things and I am sure he will be missed and is irreplaceable. Sorry to hear the news.....it's been many years since we have been in touch and I miss those days....Regards,

A true gentleman. First called on him in 1963. An honorable man. A true American. Up by the 'boot straps". Raised a good family, instilled with his values. Will be sorly missed.

My deepest condolences to the Lance family. When I first started, Mr Lance would come up every day to visit and see how are sales were going. Long time customers calling in were amazed he was still coming to work and loved to share tales of the New Rochelle days. It is my privilege to be a part of his Defender family.

My deepest condolences go out to the Lance family. Mr. Lance was a kind and genuine man. He always took the time out of his day to stop and say hello to those he passed as he walked through the building of Defender Industries.

Stephan, Skye, And Family
My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Mr. Lance truly was a remarkable man. I will never forget when I first starting working at Defender, seeing him come in to his office every day so dedicated to being there. I also remember his daily walk through the building, and how he always stopped to say hello and chat for a few minutes. He will be missed by many, and remembered always.
