John Jenkinson Obituary
He was born Aug. 12, 1957, in Schenectady, N.Y., to Claudia (Barrett) Jenkinson and the late John J. Jenkinson Jr. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy for 12 years, earning many decorations and honors, including a Navy Achievement Medal and several meritorious awards. He served in several capacities as a civil servant for the DOD, most recently serving as a financial analyst at SUPSHIP in Groton.
He is survived by his wife Teresa (Haley) Jenkinson; his two children, Sarah and Stephen Jenkinson; his mother, Claudia Jenkinson; his sister, Jill (Jenkinson) Parker; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl St., historic downtown Mystic. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Gales Ferry .
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Liver Foundation.
