Lori Zeppieri Obituary
She was born on Sept. 26, 1962, to David and Virginia Newton. Lori grew up in Canton, where she attended the Canton High School. She continued her education at Three Rivers Community College in Norwich, where she earned an associate's degree.
Lori currently resided in Ledyard, after raising her family in North Stonington.
Lori is survived by her father, David Newton of Fort Myers, Fla.; her sister, Kim Steele of Norwich; her brother, Jeffrey Newton of West Warwick, R.I.; and her two children, Sean and Kyle Zeppieri of Groton.
A celebration of life for Lori will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at the Groton Bible Chapel, Groton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Groton Bible Chapel, 66 Toll Gate Road, Groton, CT 06340 or the American Lung Association, 45 Ash St., East Hartford, CT 06108-3272.

I was so very sorry to hear of Lori's passing. I worked with Lori, and her sister "Kim" whom she cared about so very much. Lori was not only a co-worker, but a true friend. She was so kind, always going the extra mile to make every guest feel at home, and special. She was so very dedicated to her job. Lori was also extremely proud of her sons Sean and Kyle, (what lucky kids you were to have had lori as your mother.)(I know you will both continue to make her proud) She was equally proud of her brother, Jeff, for being in the military, and so happy that she was able to see her father the spring before last in Florida (David, with the gift you sent them, Kim and Lori got their hair done. It was so nice of you ...they both looked awesome! and it made them so happy)
Lori was so friendly, kind, funny, honest and compassionate. I can't express how much I will miss her....Lori until we meet again. You left us way too soon, but we have an angel watching over us now. Love you and miss you,

To our Friend Lori, I feel like you raised our son. So many years at your home in your care with Sean and Kyle.
