Austin Lisee Obituary
He was a beloved son born to Alan and V. Anneli (Mallinen) Lisee of Voluntown on Feb. 7, 1989, in Norwich.
Austin graduated from Griswold High School in 2007, where he was a dedicated member of the golf team. After graduation, he attended Three Rivers Community College. He was employed at Foxwoods Resort Casino as a Bellman.
Austin had a true passion for the game of golf, spending time with his family, his girlfriend and their new dog.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his sister, Tracy Lisee-Ricafranca and her fiance, James D'Amato of Old Saybrook; his brother, Ryan Lisee of Preston; a nephew, Alyx Ricafranca of Old Saybrook; his paternal grandmother, Rachel Ibbison of Griswold; maternal grandmother, Anja Mallinen of Voluntown; his Godparents, Earl and Patti Passmore of Lisbon; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as many friends.
Public calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, at the Gagne-Piechowski Funeral Home, 490 Voluntown Road, Rte 138, Jewett City. The memorial service for the family will be private.
In honor of Austin's love for golf, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his memory to the Griswold High School Athletic Department, Golf Team, 267 Slater Avenue, Griswold, CT 06351.

Our hearts are heavy with sorrow for the loss of such a wonderful, caring & extremely special young man. He sure was "one of a kind." We will always remember his happy, smiling face! Especially when he beat Louie at cards or caught a bigger fish with the fishing rod that he won!
We were lucky to call him our "CT Friend!"

Austin was an incredible young man whom I enjoyed getting to know through my daughters. I am so very sorry for your loss and know endless people join me in sorrow. Although Austin and I were never really had a close relationship I remember all the good times threw out school; and youth group trips....memories growing up with him threw VES and GHS will never be forgotten Class of 07 always....RIP BUDDY

I was very sad when I heard the new about Austin. Ill never forget the spiders we used to see while swimming and jumping off the dock, and then trying to swim back to the island. I also will never forget Austin winning any eating contest we ever had down the island. He truly was a fun kid !
