George Hogue Obituary

Robbinsville, N.C. - George Grant Hogue II, 55, of Pinhook Road, died Tuesday evening, Nov. 6, 2012, at his home.

He was born in Groton, on May 27, 1957, the son of Donald R. and Julia (Watrous) Hogue. George was a self employed carpenter and furniture builder for over 30 years. He graduated from Ledyard High School in 1975. He was married to Amy (Grindstaff) Hogue in Robbinsville; she survives him.

George loved the outdoors and being on the lake. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and making furniture. He loved being with his family and camping. He will be missed by a large family and many friends.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, George Grant Hogue III of Waterford; and one daughter, Mattie Elizabeth Hogue of Robbinsville. He is also survived by a sister, Brenda Schultz (Darrell); and by a brother, Donnie Hogue (Kilsun). He left one nephew, two nieces and one great-nephew and one great-niece.

A Memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at the Mountain Creek Baptist Church in Robbinsville, N.C.
