Phebe Joachim Obituary
She was Sept. 19, 1924, the daughter of the late Clarence and Alma Hart Demarest.
She was married to the late Robert Joachim. Mr. Joachim died Jan. 18, 1991.
She is survived by her two sons, Alan Joachim of Wellesley, Mass. and Mark Joachim of Upperco, Md.; two brothers, Donald Demarest of East Paris, Maine and Gilbert Demarest of Plainville, Conn.; one sister, Nancy Dillert of Ashley Falls, Mass.; and four grandchildren, Scott, Douglas, Robert and Katherine.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Roland and Milton Demarest.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons East Lyme Funeral Home, 48 Grand Street, Niantic. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Niantic. Calling hours will be held from 11:30 until 1 p.m. on Friday.

I was saddened to hear of Phebe's passing. It was great to have her as an aunt. I especially have fond memories of visiting her at the beach during the 60's. She always made me feel welcome and at ease. My thoughts and prayers are with her and the rest of the family.
