Ronald Partridge Obituary

Groton - Ronald J. Partridge, 47, of Groton, died Nov. 25, 2015, after a brief illness.

Born in New London, he attended local schools and was a graduate of Fitch High School, Class of 1986, and lived in Groton all of his life.

He was formerly employed at Electric Boat and Eastern Communications. More recently, Ron was working for Port City Cab in New London for several years.

Ron is survived by his daughter, Melissa Davis and her husband, Robert, and their son, William, of North Carolina; his mother, Millie Gates and her companion, Robert Landry, of Groton; siblings, Ricky Partridge and his wife, Linda, and their son, Anthony, of Lisbon, and Lisa Fermo and her husband, Roy, and their son, Nicholas, of Ledyard; paternal grandmother, Madelyn Partridge of Groton; and several aunts and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father, Robert Partridge; maternal grandparents, Clifford and Frances Gates; and his paternal grandfather, Warren "Pat" Partridge.

A celebration of his life will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, at the Elks Lodge, 700 Shennecossett Road, Groton. Burial will be private.
