Roberta C. "Robin" Haslam

Old Saybrook - Roberta "Robin" C. Haslam of Old Saybrook, died peacefully after a long illness on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015.

Robin was born in Middletown and spent her life in the Old Saybrook area. She was the daughter of the late George A. and Roberta P. Briggs.

She is survived by her sisters, Susan Briggs of Schaumburg, Ill., and Sandra and husband, Carl Roberts, of Old Saybrook; sons, George and wife, Joanne, John and Wayne Boudah; daughter, Paulette and husband, Jeff Bartone; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; nephews, Paul and Bryan Ruffoni; and niece, Quiana Peralta.

Robin was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt who devoted her life to the care of her family and others. She was well known at the Old Saybrook VFW, where she was the permittee and volunteered for many years.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial celebration of life to be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 9, at the Old Saybrook VFW Post 10153.
