Alvin McElroy

1928 - 2010

Alvin "Mac" McElroy, 82, of Palm Desert, Calif. passed away November 29, 2010. He was born August 10, 1928 to Alvin McElroy and Rosamae Carlton in Danville, Va. He married Marian Geringer Sepulveda on March 11, 2010 in Laughlin, Nev. Alvin served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and later worked as a mechanical engineer for Douglas Aircraft and Morrison Knutsen. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, and the Palm Desert Greens Men's Golf Club. Alvin is survived by his wife, Marian Sepulveda McElroy of Palm Desert; daughter, Judy Delcoure of Palm Desert; granddaughter, Deanna (Marty) King; sisters, Virginia Strader of Orange, Calif. and Garnette "Peewee" (Walt) Younger of Oklahoma City, Okla. In addition he is also survived by two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alberta McElroy; and his twin brother, Thomas McElroy. There will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to The Living Desert, Palm Desert.
