To the Hill Family,
My God Bless You and Comfort you at this most difficult time. The Hill
Family has always been a blessing to me and I hope that I may be
able to do the same for you at this time. So many verses from the
Bible come mind right now but I feel that the best one for this moment
is John 14 "Let not your heart been troubled, believe in God." And the
second one is Psalm 121 " I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord."

I used to wait on Mr Hill at "the old" Alpha Beta in Indio...back in the middle 70s. What a treasure he was. It would brighten my day to see him come in. I wish I had known him better.
May God comfort his family, as only God can.
Sincerely,
I LOVE YOU POP???

"POP" That’s what we all called him.. He was a very humble, kind hearted, hard working man. I remember as it was yesterday being a little girl he use to come home in his Sanford looking truck after a hard days work waiting for my Nina to make him dinner. He loved watching the basketball game and the Dodgers play. After time had pass he started to sit under the tree from sun up to sun down. He would ride his 3 wheeler bike to collect cans, or on a day he did not want to do much work he would ride his scooter and look handsome.. There are many memories that I can share about him but I just want every one to know that he was my POP and always will be.. He did not say much but his smile said a thousand words.. and now that he is gone I will look up and give him that smile back

To Mr. Hill's family, I'm very sorry for the loss of this wonderful man. Mr. Hill and I became very well aquainted back in 2000 and would see and visit with eachother on a weekly basis for the next 6 years until I moved out of state. He always came to my work with a smile on his face and laughter in his heart. He would brighten up the darkest of my days. He was with me the day my father passed away and gave me words of encouragement that I needed to hear, and having those words come from someone who knew my father helped me out tremendously. Mr. Hill told me, "Sweetheart, your daddy wouldn't want you here crying bout him. He'd want you to keep in mind what he taught you, and all the good memories. And he'd want you to go on making him proud. He's still in your heart and that's the place that matters." So I pass these words onto you, his family. He's still in your hearts and that's the place that matters.
