Dear Grace and Norm's Family,
I am truly brokenhearted to hear about Norm.
He was such a kind and generous man, writing a beautiful and supportive review for my book. Everything about his words spelled encouragement and optimism.
I listened to Norm from Monday through Friday from my studio in Milwaukee during the 70s and 80s. I will never, ever forget his beautiful voice.
Rest in peace

Dear Grace and family,
Tomorrow is a day of remembrance for Norman, a man who filled the world with his humor not only in person, but in his writing as well. We will always remember him as a kind and supportive man who took great interest in encouraging others to do their best. We are better for having known him and in sharing a small part in his life. A life that was cut too short, too soon. We will always think of him with warm loving thoughts. He was indeed one of a kind. We all grieve your loss and hope your memories of him will bring some comfort to you.
We share in your sorrow.

I had been trying to find Norman for years. I did just now by talking to a retired Chicago Police Officer while at a pension conference. I had the honor and pleasure to negotiate a contract for Norman with a radio station and later sit with Norman and an acquitted child abuse officer who'd shot and killed a suspect in a Chicago courtroom and talk about doing a screenplay on the man's life. Norman helped me immensely when he took my call while broadcasting from St Louis one day and let us talk about the raid of the pensions of thousands of employees of a processed food company which lead to hearings before Congress and saving all those pensions. I am so sad to find Norman too late to say hello, too late to say I miss you. May g-d bless you and keep you safe Norman.

Dear Grace and Norm's beautiful family,
I extend my sorrow and deep concolences over your loss, Our loss because in so many ways, Norm belonged to so many,to the world. He was truly a renaissance man, so gifted yet a kind and supportive friend, who was never afraid to laugh at himself, giving those around him a rare commodity these days, laughter.
And selfishly, I am losing a connection to my beloved mother, who was one of Norm's many fans during his broadcast years in Chicago.
The memories and great, especially for his little dog whom I am sure , is mourning with the rest of us.
God Bless and Comfort you all.

Dear Grace, The problem with Norman is ...he smiles and laughs too much. He has a very distinct laugh that when you hear him, you gotta laugh too. And cheerful... jeez he's always cheerful. You two together are one hell of a couple. You guys take over a room like I never saw. And each of you doing your own thing, but together. I know it will hurt a lot for a while but you have such incredible memories of being so close with Norman - San Francisco, Chicago, the Desert. Please remember, if you need stuff done or any task handled I;m just around the corner. Bless you. My prayers go with you. ... Budster

I share the good fortune of having known and worked with Norman. I wish I had known of his illness so I could have reached out to him and let him know how much he was loved and respected by so many. Knowing Norman, however, I think he already knew that. I am deeply saddened by his parting and offer my sincere condolences to Grace, his children and grandchildren.

I have fond memories of our younger days in Skokie with Bob and friends. I always thanked him for visiting my high school class and talking so thoughtfully to my students. We enjoyed being with the family.
