Patricia Beane-Pantazin Obituary

Patricia Beane-Pantazin of Ontario, Calif. passed away quietly on Wednesday, October 6, 2010, after a long battle with illness. Born Patricia Lynn Beane on August 26, 1949 in Ashville, N.C. to Micky Ross and James L. Beane, she grew up playing in her parent's rare and out of print book store. Thus began her love of books and reading. She attended St. Genevieve of the Pines, Private Girls School in Ashville, and graduated in 1966, as part of the first graduating class in the newly renovated Claremont High School. In 1962, the family moved to Claremont, Calif., where she and her mother opened and operated "Deja Vu Fashions". Her love of fashion and fun spirit of adventure kept customers coming back just to see her smile. Patricia was preceded in death by her father, James Beane; and her brother, William Alexander Beane; She is survived by her two sons, Henry Lee Simmons and Michael Allen Simmons, both of Ontario; mother, Micky Ross; sister, Caroldean Ross; nephew, Willem Declan Ross, all of Palm Springs, Calif.; and stepfather, Phil Ross of Houston, Texas. She has a large extended family that includes many friends that she has known for more that three decades. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, October 22, 2010 at Etiwanda Gardens in Etiwanda, Calif. (909) 463-6687. The service will be officiated by long time family friend, Loreen Saldana. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to Animal Samaritans in Thousand Palms, Calif.
