Mrs Bowman was a significant force in my life. She pointed out that I was lazy and should be doing much better than a C average. It took a while but that observation changed my life. I am saddened at her passing

Dear David,
I don't know if you will remember me, but your mother and mine are very close, very old friends. As you and I are the same age, we used to play together when our families visited. Peggy was also my Godmother and we have stayed in touch all these years. The last was when we exchanged Christmas cards last year. Both my mother, Laura Lou Neville, and I wanted to write to you, but neither of us have an address. Your mother was always exceptionally kind to me, she remembered me every year and she helped me more than she knew when I was an adolescent. I cannot imagine how difficult it is to lose your parents - please accept all my sympathy. I loved Peggy and will always be grateful to her for the love she showed me. I wish you and all those who love her comfort in these days.

Peggy Sue, How I will miss you!!!
I can't believe your are gone. My heart goes out to all that knew and loved you because this is a great loss for us all. You were my friend for so many years and I loved you so very much. Save a place for me, I will see you again one day
