Thomas Galloway Obituary

August 25, 1948 – August 19, 2011

Thomas Michael Galloway, 62, of Marquez, Texas, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2011, at his residence. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 22, 2011 at the Marquez Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Winn Cemetery in Leon County.

Thomas was born on August 25, 1948 in Refugio, Texas to Joseph Lee Galloway and Marion Dewvall Galloway. He was a graduate of Refugio High School and served in the U.S. Army. Thomas was employed with Houston Offshore Engineering as a draftsman. He married Lilly M. Galloway on August 27, 1994 and had been a resident of Marquez for the past 17 years previously living in Houston. Thomas was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Lilly Winstead Galloway, of Marquez; daughters, Allison Mayer of Caldwell, Tammy Watson and husband Larry of Marquez, Julie Salley and husband Jim of Marquez; son, Marvin D. Griffin and Samantha Elom of Marquez; brother, Joseph L. Galloway, Jr. of Bayside; ten grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
