Died: September 27, 2017

Anna Rigg, 89, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at the Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville, Illinois.

She was born on December 9, 1927 in Lawrence County, Illinois, the daughter of Otha and Vada (Neeley) Woods. She married Frederick M. Rigg on May 11, 1946 and he preceded her in death on June 24, 2017.

Anna retired from Caterpillar, in the clerical department. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Channahon. She enjoyed traveling, wintering in Texas, and square dancing with her husband, Fred. One of her favorite past times was researching genealogy.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Fred; and one sister, Helen.

Survivors include her niece and caregiver, Sue James of Lawrenceville, Illinois; as well as several other nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
