Walter M. Wilson
Norwalk Resident
Walter M. Wilson, age 50, of Norwalk, died Thursday, April 11 at the Norwalk Hospital. Born in Norwalk on May 20, 1962, he was the son of Angela Smith Wilson of Norwalk and the late Walter H. Wilson. Walter was a 1984 graduate of UCONN where he received his B.S. in Finance and went on to receive his Masters in Library Science from Southern CT State College. He had been employed with H.J. Baker & Brother, Westport in the accounts receivable department. Walter was also the former co-owner and manager of Fairfield Coin & Collectibles and an avid coin collector. He was a NY Mets and NY Giants fan.
In addition to his mother, Walter is survived by his children Matthew and Emily Wilson of Fairfield, his sisters and their companions Susan Sierman and Richard Mahoney of Norwalk , and Lori Canal and Robert “Boots” Fahey of Ridgefield, nieces and nephews Michael, Brian, Scott and Kristen Sierman, Michelle and Kirsten Fahey, and 5 great nieces and nephews. Walter was also predeceased by his children Katherine and Timothy Wilson.
A funeral service for Walter will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 7 PM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. His family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 PM until services begin.

I met Wlater at UCONN as we pledged the fraternity together. We have been close friends since, as Walter, Paul and I always try to get together for dinner 4-5 times a year. Gonna miss him tremendously.
