David Sober Obituary
age 50, of 559 Dryden-Harford Road, Dryden NY passed away Wednesday, April 13th, 2011 at home after an extended illness. Dave was born January 22nd, 1961 in Natrona Heights PA, a son of Jack W. Sober, Sr. of Natrona Heights PA and the late Dorothy Burton Sober. Dave served in the US Air Force from 1982 to 1986, was employed for many years as an automobile mechanic and lately had been the owner of Pappy's Auto Repair at his residence. He was an avid motorcyclist and a member of the local Harley Owners Group. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 24 years, Dolores Riley Sober, of Dryden; his daughter, Melanie Sober McMillen, and her husband, Shane McMillen; sons, David Sober, Jr., Matthew Sober, Andrew Sober and Dylan Sober; father, Jack W Sober Sr.; brothers, Jack W. Sober, Jr., Richard Sober, Daniel Sober and Charles Sober and his faithful dog, Owen, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother, Dorothy Burton Sober, and his sister, Deborah Clark. A celebration of Dave's life will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, April 16th, 2011 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. James Owens officiating. Burial with Military Honors provided by members of the Dryden Veterans Memorial Home Ritual Team will follow in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. Friends are invited to call from 4 to 7 PM Friday at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden. Those wishing to remember Dave are asked to consider a memorial gift to his family, Dryden-Harford Rd., Dryden, NY 13053.

Dave wasn't just a brother to me, he was my best friend. Whenever I had car trouble, I always called him to for advise on it. When we were grwoing up I always went with him fishing, hunting. Even when he got married I go and visit him and his family. He is sadly missed ...
