Timothy Leonard Obituary
Timothy Richard Leonard, 64, of Danby Rd., Ithaca, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 24, 2012 at the Cayuga Medical Center. He was born September 14, 1948 in Scranton, PA, son of the late Robert and Alice Walsh Leonard. Tim was a veteran of the United States Army and was the manager of Ithaca College Towers Dining. Tim is survived by his wife, Leslie and daughter, Ashley; his sisters, Barbara Browning and Nancy Dvorak; his brothers, Dennis, Brian and David Leonard and many other loving relatives. A Celebration of Tim's Life will be held on Monday, October 1, 2012 at 4 p.m. at the Muller Chapel, Ithaca College. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Loaves & Fishes, 210 N. Cayuga St., Ithaca, NY 14850. Bangs Funeral is assisting the family.

This is Tim's cousin, Maureen. I am very sad to learn today that Tim passed away in September. Our families were very close when we were growing up in Niagara Falls. Tim would often visit my mother, his Aunt Clare. We had many good times. I think of my cousins often and wish them my love and prayers.

Tim was such a good friend to me, and always was an example of good character and quality as a person. He felt like a close older brother to me when we worked together at the Gazebo. I am so sorry to hear this news of his loss. I'll never forget his kindness.

I am so fortunate to have known Tim and enjoyed working with him at IC. We were part of the September 14th birthday crew and just caught up the other day for our birthday. You both are in my thoughts and prayers every day. Take comfort in all of the cherished memories that you all were able to make.
I know that you already know this, but Tim was a great man to everyone!!! I know that I will miss him greatly!! I am so grateful to have known Tim as well as I did and to be able to have him be a part of our "Dining Services Family". He always came to work in such a happy - free spirited mood and was able to lift my spirits. He was very very creative - I loved being his guinea pig for his BOT desserts :) His passion for painting was also apparent, I was fortunate enough to be able to purchase a painting that he had made which is absolutely beautiful!! I also wanted to share with you that I admired your relationship because both of you always seemed to be so deeply/happily in love with each other whenever you all would come to any of our company functions. I think that kind of love between two people is wonderful!! Please know that both of you will always still be a part of our "Dining Services Family" and that if there is anything that we can do for you, please let us know. Again, my thoughts and prayers are with you both.

I was so sad to learn this evening of Tim's passing. I knew Tim for many years, working with him at Ithaca College, and he was always so nice, generous, and funny. When our office held benefit auctions Tim contributed many pieces of his Oriental art...he was a master! I will miss you, Tim...it was a pleasure to know you!
