Sarah Orton Obituary
Sarah Jayne Orton, 5, of Finksburg, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Johns Hopkins Medical Center. Born May 15, 2008 in Towson, she was the daughter of Chad Edward and Kendra Jayne Orton. Sarah was a Kindergarten student at Mechanicsville Elementary School. She enjoyed swimming and playing with her dolls. She especially enjoyed playing with her big sister Emily. She was always smiling, taking care of everyone she knew, and experiencing life to the fullest. Her favorite "color" was rainbow and her wish was to be a princess. She is survived by her parents and her sister Emily Kathryne Orton of Finksburg; maternal grandparents Roger and Diana Murray of Plattsburg, NY; paternal grandparents Bruce and Deborah Orton of Richford, NY; Aunts and Uncles Caren and Brian Laundree of Keeseville, NY, and Nicole and Jason Mathews of Candor, NY. Surviving cousins are Patrick Sargent, Tristan and Brielle Laundree all of Keeseville, NY. She is also survived by two great-grandmothers, and extended family in New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Tennessee and Florida. She was predeceased by her Aunt Kate Murray and great-grandparents. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 to 7PM at the Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster where a memorial service will be held at 7PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in her memory, to the Baltimore Humane Society, 1601 Nicodemus Rd., Reisterstown, MD 21136 or to the Johns Hopkins Children's Center, 1800 Orleans St., Baltimore, MD 21287. Chad and Kendra, I will never forget how precious and sweet Sarah and Emily were with Ketan when we visited. Sarah was so loving toward him and so excited to be around a baby!
