Craig Gruber Obituary
Craig M. Gruber 64, of Jacksonville, FL., died Tuesday, May 5th, 2015. Born June 15th, 1951 in Cortland, NY, Famous for his melodic and heavy rock bass style music, he performed with Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Gary Moore and others. Craig is survived by sons, Graham, Justin; sister, Carol; brother, Keith; In laws, Ralph and Rose Jordan, Alis, Kenji, Gene, and Christine. He is preceded in death by parents, Wendell and Marjorie Gruber; sister Pamela; brother Jeffrey. Memories and Condolences

My heart breaks at the thought that I can no longer pick up the phone and "hear" that smile that Craig always sent me. I am relieved that he is now with the Lord and no longer in pain. My most precious memories are the ones we had sitting and talking for hours over a batch of homemade chocolate chip cookies. 25 years later, on his visit to me in Vegas, I made sure the first thing he had was a batch of cookies.
I will forever value his friendship and love, and there will never be a day where Craig is not in my heart and thoughts. My condolences to Graham and the rest of the Gruber family.

May you rest in peace, Craig. In his first band, as a teen, he was known as 'Stitch' because he showed up at practice after a minor scuffle with stitches that he showed off with pride. He was a very fine young man and a very talented player even in his beginnings. I will miss him very much. Our prayers go out to his family and all of his friends. Craig has joined many of his fellow bandmates and is in his glory.
