JAMES F. MACERA
James F. Macera, 74, of 72 1/2 Van Dorn Rd. S., transcended on January 26, 2007, at Cayuga Medical Center after a long illness.Born in Ithaca, the older son of Vincenzo and Venere Macera, he graduated from Ithaca High School in 1950 and the University of Maryland in 1954, then spent his professional life in real estate.Jim was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Fred Macera.Surviving him are his two sisters, Mary M. Natali and Jemma Macera and their children, James A. Natali, Buffalo, NY; Nancy Natali Baranay, S. Bend, IN; Laura Lee Natali Hoaglin, Lakeville, MN; Fred T. Wilcox III and Jay Wilcox, Ithaca; B. Kelly Wilcox, Baldwinsville, NY; and Shannon Wilcox Prumo, Avon Lake, OH.Lansing Funeral Home was in charge of the private funeral, with burial in Calvary Cemetery.As you read this, three recipients of Jim's donated organs are experiencing new life.
