Roger Heaston Obituary
Roger graduated from Newton High School and then entered the United States Army. He served from 1963 to 1967 during the Korean War. After the Army, Roger went to work for the Department of Corrections in Hutchinson. He enjoyed collecting guns and belt buckles in his down time. Roger also loved to bowl and actually scored a perfect 300 one time.
He is survived by his brother, William Heaston and wife Becky of Newton; two nieces, Monica Lester, husband Chad and children, and Melissa Deal, husband Brad and children, all of Colorado; and longtime friend, Harley Hanke of Newton.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday (Dec. 7, 2018) at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel, with family present from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Cremation has been requested and no services are being held.
Memorials are suggested to Newton Fire and EMS and may be sent in care of Petersen Funeral Home, 215 N. Main, Newton, KS 67114. www.petersenfamilyfuneralhome.com.
