Msg Shelton Obituary
MSG Tim Shelton, age 46 of Chapmansboro, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Fort Campbell, KY.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain LTC Meador officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Sykes Funeral Home and again on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
Tim was born June 24, 1969 in Bekley, WV to Timmy E. Shelton, Sr. and Anna Lou Nelson Shelton. Tim was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, camping, horseback riding and motorcycling. He also enjoyed quiet time, painting and reading. Tim's military career spanned more than two decades. He was recognized for outstanding service to the U.S. Army as a member of the 160th Special Operation Aviation Regiment Airborne "Night Stalkers."
Tim was preceded in death by his sister, Christi Shelton.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Amy Meadows Shelton; sons, John Hunter Lewis Shelton, Spencer Wyatt Shelton; sister, Amy Jolene Shelton; mothers and fathers-in-law, Don and Crystal Spaulding, Charlie and Diane Meadows; beloved uncles, Roger (Wanda) Nelson, Charles (Lola) Shelton; sisters-in-law, Christy Adkins, Francine (Daniel) Browning, Amanda (Bo) Janes, Charla Meadows; brothers-in-law, Rusty (Niki) Meadows, Donnie (Michelle) Spaulding; nieces, Kodi Young, Harleigh Meadows, Bailey Meadows, Piper Adkins, Kelsey Browning; nephews, Isaiah Browning, Zachary Browning, Devyn Alley, Noah Spaulding, Dustin Young, Julian Shelton and Aiden Shelton.
Family and Friends will serve as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Eric Helsel, Richard Sullivan, Alan Phillips, Mark Rockwell, Jason Mihal and Corky Brzycki
