BARTOW - Nancy Lee Pickard, age 89, of Bartow, FL, died Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at the Rohr Nursing Home in Bartow of respiratory failure.
She was born July 30, 1921 in Columbia, TN. She was a teller/ bookkeeper for Citrus & Chemical Bank. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. She was a member of D.A.R. and a volunteer for the Bartow Library.
She was preceded in death by her husband Hardy Pickard; three daughters: Nancy Ham & husband Gary of Plant City, Sarah Poole & husband Ben of Ocala and Patty Hart & husband David of Bartow; three sons: Ralph Pickard & wife Theresa of Bartow, Hardy Pickard of Lakeland and Bill Pickard & wife Kelly of Bartow; sister: Eleanor Morgan, Nashville, TN; nine grandchildren & eight great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main Street, Bartow, FL where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, June 10, 2011. Funeral service will be at the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 11, 2011, Rev. Wallace A. Reynolds officiating. Interment will be at Wildwood Cemetery, Bartow, FL.
