BARTOW - Patricia Ann Haller, 78, passed away Sunday June 5, 2011 from an aortic aneurysm.
Patricia was born in West Union, Iowa on September 2, 1932, to Roy and Edna Haller. She served in the United States Army and received specialized medical training. Later, Patricia worked for three veterinarian clinics. She had a deep love for animals and trained Arabian horses for competition. Additionally, she loved the outdoors and had belonged to the Chicago Mountaineering Club, successfully conquering several peaks exceeding 14,000 feet. Patricia lived in Winter Haven, Florida for many years and became a Emergency Medical Technician at the Winter Haven Hospital serving a career she loved. She lived the past few years of her life as a resident of the Rohr Home in Bartow, FL and leaves behind many dear friends.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and brother David. She is survived by two nieces, Catherine Elliott and husband Thomas of Basin, MT and Cynthia Fitzgerald of Bozeman, MT, two nephews, David Haller, Jr and wife Vinna of Yuma, AZ and William Haller of Yuma, AZ, and one cousin, Kent Havens and wife Kay of Lakeland, FL.
A memorial service will take place at 2:00 PM, June 16 at Miracles, 1544 42nd Street N.W. in Winter Haven, FL. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
