LAKELAND - Bernard "Bud" Johnson, 76, died Saturday, June 9, 2007, of ALS.



Bud came to Lakeland in 1991 after retiring with 30 years of service from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. International Division as the Director of Engineering in Australia. He was a Navy Korean War Veteran and of the Lutheran Faith. He enjoyed traveling and golf and was a member of The Sandpiper Golf Club in Lakeland. A loving husband and father Bud lived a rich and full life and we will miss him very much.



He is survived by his loving wife Carol L. Johnson of Lakeland, three sons Mike and wife Bettye Jo Johnson of Cary, NC., Joe and wife Belinda Johnson of Kathy, TX., Dr. Eric and wife Cynthia Johnson of Memphis, TN., two daughters, Christine and husband Scott Adams of Minneapolis, MN., Leigh Ann and husband Curtis Carter of Pendleton, SC., six grandchildren, Megan and Meredith Johnson, Autum Muffoletto, Hilary Cook, Tyler and Emily Johnson, one great grandchild, Blake Muffoletto, two brothers, Richard and Carl Johnson, and three sisters, Beverly Johnson, Shirley Madison, and Karen Curcio.



Visitation will be held Tuesday at 6:00-8:00 PM at Lanier Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 AM at Lanier Funeral Home Chapel.



Donations may be made to the ALS Association Florida Chapter, 3242 Parkside Center Circle, Tampa, Fl 33619-0907.
