Dear Friends,
This is Cindy, and loosing Mom and Daddy Boy in a sixteen month period is very tough. Everyone of you are right, Daddy Boy was everyone's friend, and he loved to help. He was my father, but he was many other things to me as well...and i am very proud to be his daughter, as I was proud of he and my mother. I can not find the words to tell you the emptiness that I feel, just knowing that he is not at the other end of the phone...but I know he is in a better place now, in heaven with Momma...and I will see them again one day.
thank you all for your kind words.
God bless
Cindy Womble

Cindy,

Our fathers worked together in law enforcement for many years. As a child I remember Bobby and Daddy getting together when it was time to "gunk" their motorcycles. He was a fun-loving and spirited man and will be greatly missed.

May your faith in God and the love of family and friends sustain you now and in the days ahead.

With deepest sympathy,

Darbi Peterson

Cindy, just to let you know your Dad meant an awful lot to me and our family. He was always ready to laugh and we had a quite a few with him down at the tire store. Our visit to the cabin in Georgia with you, your Mom and Dad is a memory I cherish to this day, it was a hoot. He will be greatly missed and you are in our prayers.

God Bless, Levy T

To the Womble family. You do not know me, but I certainly remember Bobby. I was a New Yorker, a student at Florida Southern when he and I became friends. I have a picture (I hope I can find) of Bobby on his police motor with me on my "radio Patrol" citizen volunteer motorcycle alongside. I went on to be a Polk Deputy, an FDLE agent, and eventually a state govt. executive... but I will always remember the LPD motor officer who may have been my first friend in Florida. Best wishes. Cindy, My thoughts are with you this morning. I know you are going through a tough time right now. I am remembering all the fun times and laughter we all had through the years. Bobby and Patsy always had a joke or funny remark on the tip of their tongue and you really liked to pull tricks on me!! I haven't forgotten! We love you and please call anytime.

Cindy, my condolences. I met you quite awhile back when your dad and I were on the Police force together. He was a motorcycle officer at the time and I had just come back from Vietnam. I always liked Bobby and considered him a close friend. Prayers to you and the family.

Cynthia and Family,

Although you may not know me, you are sure to know my father Jerry Whitehead. Your father and my father were great buddies along with cohorts at LPD and Polk County Sheriff's Department. They worked together in the Posse at the trails, fellow police officers, friend. I often referred to Bobby as being my second dad, because our fathers looked so much a like in uniform. I can't tell you how many times we as kids jumped out of the car thinking that your dad was ours. It kinda became a joke between our parents. We eventually started calling him our second dad. Even into our adulthood we would fondly refer to him this way. Our family will truly miss Bobby! We respected him in so many ways, but the greatest was the connection he had with our own father. I know they are up in Heaven laughing about all the fun times, and adventures they had here on earth.

My other connection with your father is that he was in the Kathleen Lions Club with my husband, David Brice, so I occasionally saw your dad and your mom, at the Christmas socials and the end of the year awards banquet.

I have so many fond memories as a child of your parents. I will cherish them all. My heart goes out to you over your losses. Although I have only lost one of my parents, I know the heartache of loosing a father. I am praying for you during this difficult time. You have a lot to be proud of. Your father was a great person and will be missed tremendously in this community. May God hold you close on this journey of life, and one day you will be able to cherish those precious memories without aching inside.

In Christ,

Debbie Whitehead Brice

I was pretty much in shock all day when you called to tell about your Dad passing away. We don't see much of each other but I think of you often and the times in the old neighborhood. Those were some of the best times. Love you, Cindy.

Cindy,

Polk County will miss Bobby Ray more than most people will realize. He was a part of this land, and I'm proud to have been kin. Please know you are in our prayers and we love you dearly. Work precludes me from seeing you tomorrow, but my heart will be there, while I recall all the many wonderful memories of Aunt Patsy, Bobby Ray, Aunt Daisy, Granny Scott and our family childhoods.

Hugs and love,
Carolyn Hennecy-Smith
