KNAPP, 62
DAVENPORT - Richard W. 'Rick' Knapp, 62 of Davenport, Florida, formerly of Winter Haven, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at his residence due to cancer.
He was born November 9, 1951, in Framingham, Massachusetts, to the late Albert and Ruth Gebo Knapp and has been a resident of area for 20 years moving here from Ocala. Richard was an independent bread distributor.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Jerry Slammin. He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Sullivan and husband Mike of Apex, NC; son, Brian Knapp and wife Jo Ellen of Davenport; brothers, James Knapp of Maryland, Kenneth Knapp of Massachusetts; 3 grandchildren, Jon, Addison and Brady.
Funeral services will be held 12 00 Sat., Sept. 6, 2014, at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home of Lake Wales with Pastor Robert Giordano officiating. Family will receive friends from 11 00 AM until service time. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Ave., Auburndale, FL, 33823.
