September 15, 2009

To all the people who have said and written so many kind words about my mom, I thank you for your beautiful words of kindness and encouragement. Today, Sept. 15, is the first time that I have read all of the wonderful messages and it was very touching. My family and I are missing my mom terribly, but it is comforting knowing that she is in God's kingdom now, and that she is remembered by so many people whose lives she has touched. I want to thank you all. The poem that Eunice sent was especially touching and sounded as though my mom was saying those words directly to us, her family. Thank you so much for that.
On behalf of her family, I would like to say thank you for all of the kind words and prayers from everyone.
Sincerely,
Norma Gutierrez
(youngest daughter of Amelia Molina)

It has sadden me tremdously to hear my dear friend passing. I too worked at the McAllen Chamber of Commerce until I changed careers into education. I continue voluntering in committees like the Candle Light Posada which I involved by students to volunteer as part of teaching community involvement. Amelia kept up with me as I achieved higher career goals. She would call to congratulate me on my new positions. I learned so much from Amelia, professional ethics, caring for employees/coworkers, friends and family. I will miss her dearly as well as her family and dear friends. She is with the Lord now. Thank you for your friendship.

To the Molina Family,

I was so saddened to hear about Amelia's passing. Blanca Cardenas from the McAllen Chamber emailed me. I knew Amelia when I was an Ambassador with the McAllen Chamber and the one thing that I will always remember is her loving smile. She was so dedicated to the Chamber and I know all of those that knew her and worked with her will miss her. The one thing I thought of when I heard she had died was that she had a friend going to heaven with her at about the same time that worked as an Ambassador with the Chamber also, Arlene Trusten. Arlene died around 5:00 the same day and it brought me comfort knowing that the two knew one another and had the same mission at helping the McAllen Chamber succeed. May God's peace fill your hearts at this time and may you feel His loving arms wrapped around you.

We are so glad that GOD put her in our lives. We know He accepted her into his kingdom with open arms. With those same arms may He comfort those she left behind.

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow. I met Amelia at El Mesias Church, she opened her doors and welcomed me when I was working under a nutrition program for the Food Bank RGV. She was always helping and making sure everything went smooth, anything to help her community. She was a caring, and giving person. Amelia, Thank you for being so kind.

I would like to express my most sincere condolences to all of the members of Amelia's family during this very difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you, and rest assured that the Lord's loving and comforting hand is upon all of you at this time.

I have beautiful memories of Amelia, since she was was such a beautiful and caring person. At the "Walk to Emmaus" retreats, she always made sure everyone was taken care of and that their experience with the Lord was an unforgetable one. As a member of her church, she always worked hard to ensure the church functions went well, with every detail taken care of. She called on me several times to provide the music when the pianist was not available. Something I did gladly because I knew it meant so much to her.

Amelia is certainly one of those people that in passing through this world left marks in the hearts of everyone she met and whose lives she touched. She will never be forgotten.

To the family of Amelia Rodriguez Molina,
I was saddened to hear about the death of a dear friend and classmate.
I know what a difficult time this is for you. I share in your grief and send my love.
I saw Amelia a few years ago, after about 50 years. We spent some time reminiscing about old times. It was great.
I was in the Valley last week and heard that Amelia was in the hospital. I went there but could not go up and visit with her family. I am glad that I spoke with Norma.
God Bless You!
With Sympathy,

Amelia worked tirelessly...in the nine years I worked for the Chamber, I rarely, if ever, saw Amelia take a break. She had more projects going at one time than most people had in a lifetime. She was a lovely person, inside and out, and will be sorely missed by everyone whose lives she touched.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
