children of Mr. James Strait, your father was a great influence in my life, he was my teacher in the 9th grade in mission and he, in his soft way of speaking, talked to me about the corsairs and i never forgot. Everytime i saw that plane i would remember him. I live in California and am looking at his picture where he signed my 1962 yearbook. May God be with you all. I am a Viet Vet but have friends in 40 and 8 Voitures, I am the director of the USO at the San Jose International Airport. You should be so proud of him.
