KATHERINE K. BLANKENSHIP
Katherine K. Blankinship, 63, of Spicewood peacefully went to Heaven on Sunday, December 12, 2010 while at home. Katherine was born June 10, 1947 in Monroe, Louisiana to Minnie Cooper and James Kolb. After moving to McAllen, Texas she met her husband, Z.L. Blankinship. Katherine was a retired office manager who truly enjoyed her job. Katherine will be remembered as a caring and artistic person who loved to read and fish She was also an active member of Spicewood Baptist Church in Spicewood. Katherine is survived by her husband, Z.L. Blankinship of Spicewood, son,Lee Blankinship of Austin and his wife Patty; daughter, Alicia Turnley of Smithville, along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and lifelong friends. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Katherine's life at 1:00 pm Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Spicewood Baptist Church in Spicewood, Texas. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Spicewood Baptist Church in her honor.

I am so sorry to hear of Kathy's passing. I knew her when I lived in the Valley. She was a good friend and a very kind person who thought of others before herself. I know she will be missed by her friends and family.
