Feb. 12, 1934 - July 14, 2012

Harold T. Knickerbocker of Vestaburg, age 78, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Woodland Hospice in Mt. Pleasant. Harold was born in Essex Township of Clinton County, Michigan on February 12, 1934, to the late Bernard J. and Bernice (Fisher) Knickerbocker. He married Musa Huntley on August 24, 1957. Harold was self-employed until 1967 when he went to work for Carrier-Stephens Chemicals and worked there until 1989. The family was active in the Vestaburg Church of Christ and for a time the First Church of Christ in Mt. Pleasant. He is survived by his wife, Musa Knickerbocker; son, Harold Timothy (Michele) Knickerbocker of Clare, daughter Joellyn (Timothy) Malmquist of Mt. Pleasant. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren; brothers, Ronald Knickerbocker of Manistee, James Knickerbocker of Vermontville, and Richard (Brenda) Knickerbocker of Vestaburg. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Robin Knickerbocker Collazo; grand son, Timothy Richard Knickerbocker; and sister, Barbara Knickerbocker Schlee. Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday July 18, 2012 at Vestaburg Church of Christ, 7289 Avenue B, Vestaburg, Michigan 48891. Tom McNerney, Minister will officiate. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to Woodland Hospice in Mt. Pleasant, or Rock Lake Christian Assembly in Vestaburg.
